    Herb not curing

Has been stored over three months now. Have my harvest in glass mason jars and vent daily. They still smell like a fresh mown lawn. The smoke is harsh with no flavor.

I live in the desert so the humidity is very low. Could that be the problem?

Sounds like they might have gone into the jars too dry already.

Are the buds crispy/crunchy? If so, yes the humidity is the culprit.

Yes, they are quite dry. Without a humidifier, what is the next best solution?

Put a partially soaked paper towel in there (with clean water) and close the lid again. Check it every day and adjust as necessary.

If it is too dry, I use an orange peel or piece of apple. Close container for 24 hours and then check.

Just a pinch of a blueberry muffin works great, and smells good:thumbsup:

And then you tell your friends that your ordinary bagseed grow is the famous 'Blueberry' strain?

Maybe some people would do that but there is a huge difference between muffin smell and blueberry bud smell IMO:thumbsup:

lol the responses are killer...wet towels, oranges I have heard of, but muffins? All good solutions except possibly the last being more questionable. Sometimes especially in this weather, you can just let the jar sit open a day or two and ambient humidity will puff the bud back out.
