Best 1000w HPS systems available ?

Looking for some advice on nice 1000w systems, I'm going to run MH and switch to HPS when the plants are in flower.

Room will be sealed, reflector must light a SoG over a 4'x4' area adequately.

It will be vented to keep heat down as well.

Looking to keep it around $500 give or take a little.

Please read the FAQ's and stickys....at the top of the pages...go the grow logs and read.....Growing is not easy.....and it is very easy to fail.

Thanks, but I'm not exactly new to this. I'm just new to the forum but I've only really used one light company, I'm just entertaining the idea of trying something different.

Check out the Hydrofarm Phantom 1000 hps/mh ballast and one that another member has purchased,lumatek 1000 switchable ballast. These are two of the best out there to me! Good luck with everythang!:thumbsup:

Thanks, I've been throwing my money at HTG and have been less than happy lately.. I've had multiple 600w and 1000w ballasts and HPS / MH bulbs fail.

The warranty and price is nice, but not if my babies go without light for 5-6 days. They live fine, but I don't like telling my children foods gonna be tight for a week you know.

i use digital greenhouse ballasts sure aint bad 4 the money

Check Out the new NextGen Aircooled Digital Switchable ballast.I just ordered one for my room.Also gonna run the xxxtreme 8" reflector.and 1 4foot 8tube T5 hydro farm for veg.and another 2 foot 8 tube hydro farm T5 in the clone area newly potted clone area.Can50 filter with a 8 inch 745cfm for flower room and a 4 inch 171cfm for the veg areas.
