Need EXPERIENCED advice for drying-high humidity ASAP???
I would have put this in my log but I figured it would be seen faster this way:thumbsup:
I am harvesting in a day or two and I need some advice on my drying environment...The humidity ranges from 60-70% and the temperature is 60-65degrees in the area and that worries me. I am not use to drying in these conditions and could use some advice on how I can dry slowly and not have a mold issue because I believe the humidity is higher than it should be??? Air circulation is not an issue if that helps, I can provide plenty. Im pretty sure the air should not blow directly at the buds but it should flow around and through, correct???
Thanks in advance to anyone that can help:thumbsup:jon420 Reviewed by jon420 on . Need EXPERIENCED advice for drying-high humidity ASAP??? The key is air circulation... and perhaps a dehumidifier.
60-70% is about what you need to keep it at the right moisture once it is properly cured/dried.

I am harvesting in 12hrs and really could use some more advice on the air circulation??? I dont want to push too much air around the buds and dry them too fast...This is probably a trial-n-error situation but any advice is helpful:thumbsup:

Need EXPERIENCED advice for drying-high humidity ASAP???
Myself, I live in WA state and it is almost always over 60% here. I use wire baskets, layer in the cannabis in on layer and sit out near moving air for about a week in high humidity. Then another week all piled together in the basket. By then it should be dry enough to put in a closed container..
The first week is the critical time.

the smoke from the end of a cig will rise up about 4" to 6" before wifing away when you have the air movement correct.if it seems to you that the buds are drying to fast just slow down this movement.buds can dry at 90% humidity with enough air movement.like you said "trail and error" but be careful not to allow the first dry after cutting take to long....3 days max imho...as this is when mold/mildew is most likely to set in. of course there are 1000 ways to dry and cure and none are really more correct than others if the end results are the same .
