Need help in Telluride CO
My name is Greg and I live in Telluride, CO. I recently moved here from Sonora, Mexico where I had a serious car accident about a year and a half ago. I don't have medical records and I don't know that I can get them. I have chronic back and neck pain and have taken pain meds which didn't help much. I saw a chiropractor in Mexico which also didn't help. Marijuana is the only thing that has given me any relief.
Can you give me some direction as to what I need to do in order to get marijuana legally? I know my situation is a little different than most, so I'm not sure what to do. There are no Medical MJ doctors here locally and I can't drive. Is there someway to get set up with a card online? Thanks.

You might consider contacting: MMAPR | Medical Marijuana Assistance Program of the Rockies
I am not affiliated with them but I did notice their services from this post: http://boards.cannabis.com/colorado-...ews-mmapr.html which mentioned they offer a mobile unit for patients. I haven't looked into it to see how far out they travel.
Good luck!

Welcome to CO, Greg. Hope we can get you the help you need.
Teleconferencing wasn't approved by the CDPHE, but mobile doctors have been. I'd suggest calling MDARX and see if they'll be in your area any time soon: (720) 329-1600
Medical records aren't always needed depending on the severity of your accident. If most physicians see a two foot long scar running down your back, for example, they'll take your word that you've been through a few surgeries. I'll do some more research and see what I can find near Telluride.

Need help in Telluride CO
I never had a surgery because I was told it wouldn't help. But I was a passenger in a head-on collision at 80mph without a seatbelt and four people in the other car died. My airbag saved my life. I like to ski but am having difficulty with the pain. I also have trouble sleeping and when I wake up its pretty bad. I don't have health insurance and I can't drive. I don't mind paying a few hundred dollars to get set up legally but can't afford much more. I just hate having to get medicine on the street with the risk of getting in trouble.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Greg

you could give a local dispensary a call.
I see Telluride Bud Company (google that) call them and ask.
take in any proof you have to the Doc - emergency room paperwork, prescriptions, anything to back up your story. You should be able to find a compassionate Dr who can exam you and write the rec. based on that.
