Eureka! Olive oil concentrate that works!
I cannot take credit for the whole idea, I saw it elsewhere in a U-tube and then could not find it again. So went from memory as best as possible and also put some thought into the carboxylation/de-carboxylation process. (that being to keep temps under 225 F to prevent loss of THC, CBD, and CBN's.)
The process involves a pressure cooker. Because it involves also oil, it is terribly important to not be so wasted you space out while doing this and cook out the water......The pressure cooker will blow if the water runs out. You take all responsibility, not I, you are warned. But, no fire hazard from flammables...LOL.
The process:
1/4 pound of trim or one ounce of bud.
2 cups extra virgin olive oil (first press)
4 cups water for pressure cooker
4 cups scalding-hot water to rinse.
Pressure cooker, drain collander, large bowls/containers, tight weave cotton cloth, like denim large enough to completely cover collander.
I) The trim or bud must be dry/cured. I prefer cured as it seems better. Crunch up the trim, break down main buds, but don't waste trichomes.
In an appropriate sized pressure cooker place the water, product, and finally the oil.
II) Bring the cooker to pressure and do not leave it. Set timer to 20 minutes and keep at just barely rocking the cooker dew-hickey.
III) After time is up, you can allow to cool or use water on outside edge of cooker to cool enough to safely open.
IV) Set the collander in a large bowl, lay the cloth in the collander, and very carefully (so you don't splash your stoned self) pour/spoon/dump the entire mixture into the cloth. Use the extra hot water to rinse the pot, and finally the concoction in the collander.
V) After cool enough to handle, gather the edges of the cloth up and start twisting the cloth so to squeeze out the contents into the bowl.
VI) Freeze the bowl with the water/oil mixture. Once frozen scrape off the oil and allow to become fluid again in a tall thin container. The final heavy settling will occur and you can use a bulb baster to get the majority of the clean oil or run thru another filter.
Now, I am told it will get rancid if not kept frozen. I do not know yet. But as a frozen pat, like butter on my toast and I have awesome body effect. It is stronger than any butter I have had.
This is the type of oil necessary for a low cholesterol diet. I have not tried other vegetable oils doing this, as I don't use them. This certainly works well for oil. The only inherent danger I see is a stoner forgetting a pressure cooker on the stove. :hippy:WashougalWonder Reviewed by WashougalWonder on . Eureka!
