FOxFarm Calcium issues
Hey all,
I'm running a foxfarm hydro system, and having some pretty big calcium deficency issues in the later weeks of veg.
Before anyone asks
ph = 6.2-6.4
TDS = 1000-1130ppm
Res temp = 71F
Ambient room temp = 69-71F
I'm hesitant to transfer over to flower cycle with a deficiency in progress so i'm trying to figure out what to use to best solve this issue so that i can get my move on.
My LGS (local grow shop) suggest i use Bontainicare Cal/Mag to solve the deficiency, but i'm hesitant as i don't really have a mag issue, or iron.
I have ready access to the following cal supplements and wonder what ya'll might recommend as my best option for use with the FoxFarm line. All listed below are powdered dry chem form, and i'm used to handling these kind of supplements in my reef expierences.
Calcium Chloride (CaCL2)
Calcium Nitrate (CaNO3) - i'm hesitant to use this, as i don't really need nitrogen - its also the Ca source in the Botanicare cal-mag
Calcium Sulfate (CaSO4)
any an all input would be appreciated.plantone Reviewed by plantone on . Cal-mag. Can also be used as a preventative in low dose amounts.

Don't play around and just use the cal-mag plus. Don't use it in the top off water or it can build up.

What symptoms are there? How do you know calcium is the problem? If you're using a hydro fert, does it not have calcium?

My issue is not lack of calcium, its being calcium deficient.

i know its a Ca problem based on diagnosis through the guide in 'Marijuana Garden Saver: Handbook for Healthy Plants'.
I have 12 plants on a 25 gallon total system volume (+/- 1 gal) with an auto topoff on the resivor.
My specific question was to find out if anyone know which of the compounds i discussed would be my best choice to supplement the calcium levels in my current solution and to not react with the foxfarm routine.
