Generally they will do the physical first and you will be in a gown, so having it on you may be a little tricky. I would strap it to the heat pad before you go into the facility and put it in the pocket of your coat or jeans. They will usually perform the physical and then you will get dressed for the drug screen. So, at that point you can remove the heat pad and tuck it under you nether region while you getting dressed.

A few tricks to heat up or cool down your sample after its poured in the cup: If it's too cold, simply rub your finger briskly on your pants and hold it to the temperature strip on the cup until you reach the desired temperature. If its too hot, lightly blow on the cup until it comes down the desired temperature.
