Vaping in Public in CA

How many of you vape in public?
While going over the SB420 and the CA Prop 215 (1996) so that I know the laws here in California... I found that:

No where in these laws does it say anything more than "smoking" medical marijuana... nothing about edibles or most importantly to me... "VAPORIZING".

So here is my question...

What happens if law enforcement officers find a person vaping in public? Same thing as what would happen if you got caught smoking?

I assume that the laws apply to vaping as they do to smoking mmj, just to be on the safe side.... though this has occupied my mind since I first read the Senate Bill 420 and CA Prop 215.

Anyone have an answer?

( PS: I am sorry if I put this in the wrong area, but as it applies to vaping, I thought this might be the right place :shrug: )
