    VGI ?

If you don't know what VGI is, this post is not for you.

If you do know and use a VGI, can you advise me, will the use of VGI before the presence of flowers, prevent flowering?

    VGI ?

    Anyone...?
If not, I'm going to be forced to guess....

I'm pretty sure the VGI blocks the plant's natural gibbrelins, which controls overall height, but not the branching. Gibbrellins also increase in the tallest shoot on the plant, too. I wouldn't think maturity would be affected unless the plant needs time for healing. There's a Phosphoload 'how-to' page online.

I looked it up. Is this similar to the VGI you are talking about?

    VGI- Vertical Growth Inhibitor

I use Bushmaster and it has directions for both soil and hydro

Well I have been using the phosphoload at the rate of 4 ml/gal and that just works........just one dose......not on all plants tho. But the rate they say in the online is much higher and that concerns me as I have burned plants using just the lower dosage. I guess I just have to figure out how to use it, but from the sounds, it will actually enhance flowering???? It did bulk up buds on the plants I used a little, not a lot.

I know of bushmaster, do you know will it inhibit flowering? I don't want to mess it up, one mistake and 3 months are lost.

Bushmaster promotes flowering....i notice increased yields using one dose 2-3 ml/gal on the first day of flower...and i believe it is cheaper than phosphoload...4oz/$20 :smokin:

Perhaps half-doses. Give one half on Monday, the other half (if the plant says Monday's application was ok) on Thursday...I do this during the summer with base nutrients.

If planning on using it on the Thai, will the VGI turn the plant from being a female with a couple nanners into a female with shitloads of nanners...?

Anyway, the VGI promotes slowed mainstem growth and increased lateral branching. Haven't heard anything about it being proven to promote flowers, but it does offer more budsites in the long run. Loads of hearsay, but a gardeners' opinion is often swayed by the monies we've spent on a product.

Well if it promotes lateral growth I am already in trouble as the plant is growing more from the lateral branches than the main....is this normal in LST?
