    Rallying The Troops

I know that there is a lot of bad tastes in a lot of peoples mouths because of the problems with RIPAC. I, Diesel, have started a local chapter of Americans for Safe Access, (ASA).

Our goals are to Advocate for our own rights, instead of placing our attepts in the hands of others. Be independant! We will form a grass roots community of patients, caregivers, and ANY other person or groups that Advocate for Medical Cannabis Reform.

In the NEAR future, your right to grow is coming under question. Were you informed of that? We are ALL pleased and hopeful of the arrival of our SOON TO BE Compassion Centers. But did you know that Lincoln Chafee hopes to remove Caregivers from the equation? He also wants to Remove the right to cultivate your own medicine. Are you OK with that? You shouldn't be. When this happened in New Mexico, the compassion centers ran out of medicine after only three weeks or the amendment to legislature. Compassion Centers are a GREAT idea and service, don't get me wrong, but you're RIGHT to grow is your safest backup plan for medicine.

What about the Newly office Federal Drug Czar? Michelle Leonheart, the NEWLY officed federal Drug Czar is in complete disagreement with ANY PATIENT IN ANY PROGRAM, she only views Cannabis as a drug, not medicine. How does this affect you? Your state laws will NO longer protect you unless you stratigize how to address these critical issues in the soon to be present.

All advocates, Patients, Caregivers, and ANYONE who believes in a Patient's RIGHTS to medicate how they see fit please feel free to contact your local ASA chapter here in Rhode Island. We are only as strong as our community is involved in thier futures.

I have started an online petition to be delivered to Governor Lincoln D. Chafee and Director of Health David R. Gifford, MD, MPH when it gathers 1000 signatures.
Please take a moment to check out the petition and sign it if you agree with me.
If you feel so inclined share the petition with your friends using whatever social media you desire.
    Thank You

This is Awesome... A Petition is a Great tool, indeed, to help with unwanted legeslation, Lets take some time to review your petition and we can help circulate it. Contact Us thru email to setup a time to review it. The key to making the petition work is TIMING. You have to time when it is introduced to politicians, Which would be AFTER they DROP THE BILL, but this is the time to Collect as many Signatures AS POSIBLE.

We will be scheduling a Chapter Meeting SOON where ALL are invited to attend to discuss the upcoming events. Remember to alert your friends and ALL Medical Cannabis Advocates to join this thread and Email us. We are ONLY as strong as OUR COMMUNITY!

I can modify the Petition if you have anything you would like to add.
I can also print hard copies to be sent to our State Representatives.

Check out the Petition and contact me if you think changes are in order.

As we are planning for our first meeting, to discuss recent and coming events, and to plan our structure as an advocacy group, Where would be a good location to host a meeting?

Diesel and I are both in Providence, where would be a good location to have our meetings? Here in Providence? Are there any concerns about this location?
