8' x 2'10'' space ...best imaginable(doable) ideas
So 8' long and just shy of 3' wide? How talls the ceiling?
t-12 is a floro tube size, CFLs are the twistied floro screw in light bulbs,.... and I've never seen or heard of a full 1000w floro!
Perhaps 1000w equivalent?
Anyway, beyond those questions here's what I'd do with the space.
Frame it up as 2 separate rooms, each 3x4. then use plastic tarp for walls. Run the HPS on one side on a timer set 12/12 for flowering, and run the floro's on the other side either 18/6 or 24/0 for vege. With such a narrow space, I'd make an access flap on both rooms. Velcro is all you need to keep the flap closed.
I'd run the fresh air intake on the flowering side thru a filter of some sort, then vent into the vege room then out side, this way the extra heat from the HPS can be used to help heat up your vege side since floros run so cool. Try to make sure there's no light bleed thru tho, I pull hot air from flower down from the top thru a large tube, then thru the barrier into vege at floor level.
For light barrier, I like Panda film, since it's light proof and is reflective white on one side and black on the other, also not electrically conductive like Mylar.
Table's,... Workforce 4-Shelf Steel Shelving Unit - UR361860 at The Home Depot
That unit is 3'x1.5' and can be broken down into two tables. Works well for me, there's a slightly larger one, 4x2' as well for a few extra coins.
That should get ya started.
