    aeroponic help

I'm growing legal plants in a home built aeroponic system. Using six 360 degree sprayer nozzles, 185gph pump and 14 2" net pots filled with expanded clay pellets. 4 6500k 100w clfs + sun light

    Watering cycle:

    0100-0145
    0400-0445
    0615-0700
    1000-1045
    1345-1430
    1730-1815
    2115-2200

    Light cycle:

    0600-2200 (clfs) 0800-1600 (sun light)

My timer allows up to 7 cycles. How does my watering look?

When it comes to ppm does the water's ppm get added to what nutrient ppm or should I go out and buy the gallons of spring water? (home water reads 335ppm and spring water from store reads 4ppm.

    aeroponic help

Unless you are very a very experienced grower, I would not recommend aeroponics. I have run it only 24/7...... you don't want to ever lose power for any length of time. Good Luck

The power loss idea was the reason I decided not to do aeroponics for my grow. I chose a somewhat less risky grow, using hydroponics.

If hydroponics sit all day in water, with air pumped into it... why wouldn't you run your aeroponic nozzles 24/7? They would still get adequate air, right? Seems 2 hours between sprayings in a warm grow room would dry them out?

I tried the 24/7 and it seems to make the roots feel real soft and fall apart. One of the plants even had a nice thick white root and after being in the aeroponic system the root thinned and then fell off. Right now the expanded clay pellets are not drying before the next on cycle.

ohh, there's a big difference between aeroponics and using clay pellets. Clay pellets or hydroton will still hold a fair amount of moisture. .... and of course it does this and gives the roots something to hold onto to keep the plant upright. Coco coir is probably next. Rockwool probably holds the most moisture, and many new growers tend to get root rot simply by watering too much.
