Flowering plants not using water?

That's good information. I appreciate it.
About mid December I stopped all nutes, bc I thought I would be harvesting within 2 weeks. I thought the trichomes would continue to grow as they have been. But they werent growing very much and I decided to add nutes again (shortly after xmas), and I saw resin production increase. Then, the first of Jan. I noticed the sagging leaves/branches.
Approximately, how long after the trichomes turn cloudy/milky will it take for them to turn amber? I know I have a short window for harvest, and I'm nervous I'll miss it. Even though I check them at LEAST twice a day, everyday.
