Flowering plants not using water?
The plants aren't using up as much water as they used to. Their branches are sagging and leaves are droopy. PH is at 5.5, I know thats slightly low. I don't think it's nutrients, though I may be wrong... Could it be low night time temps? Thanks in advance.

how far into flower are you?
Late in the cycle cannabis plant tend to do the following: Swell up with water, get real heavy, possibly fall over depending on the thickness of your stalk, and finally brown and shed fan leaves. It sounds like your at least 5 to 6 weeks into flowering and if that's the case your doing just fine. Prop up the kolas as best you can as they will only get heavier and fall over more! Stop feeding your plants, just use water at this point. Water them less then your normally doing if they aren't taking in any more water. You dont want mold issues at this stage.
The bottom line here is that the plants are done growing. They are dieing. You want them to die or at least think they are dieing as this will be the "kick in the pants" your females need to produce resin. The plants are panicking at this point and seek to do anything they can to attract pollen. Resin production will help them attract pollen or so they think. All it will really do is help you to get more high.
Your doing fine, champ

That's good information. I appreciate it.
About mid December I stopped all nutes, bc I thought I would be harvesting within 2 weeks. I thought the trichomes would continue to grow as they have been. But they werent growing very much and I decided to add nutes again (shortly after xmas), and I saw resin production increase. Then, the first of Jan. I noticed the sagging leaves/branches.
Approximately, how long after the trichomes turn cloudy/milky will it take for them to turn amber? I know I have a short window for harvest, and I'm nervous I'll miss it. Even though I check them at LEAST twice a day, everyday.

anywhere from a week to 4 weeks depending on the strain. Most plant specs I have seen say anywhere from 8 to 12 weeks. They will pack on more and more trics and resin as the days progress. You will have several days to pick the right time of harvest, it wont happen all at once. It takes about 4 days to a week for trichs to turn totally amber. Most choose about 10% to 20% amber as their harvest point.
Make sure your water is clean since they are hydroponic. When you stop feeding the plants you have to dump the water and put in fresh, but I'm sure you did that already.
