Sorry smokyjlamo, there is no heat issue, don't touch the light, you don't need an exhaust either, let them breath same old air in there, they will be fine with that old air and unused nutrients. Most important thing is your PH, specially if you're using soil but hydro. Set your PH balanced then you're fine.
And probably you learned that tray watering thing from some other shitty forums. Here you never can find such an information points to that. We don't water from the bottom. Never!
