Is this a kind of hormonal issue?

    Here are the updated pictures.

I sent the old link previously, this is the same plant today. Second nodes and its not only a leaf, another branch growing out of there.

What you have in the photos are perfectly normal. Preflower never grow buds that are harvestable. They are just an early indication of what the gender of the plant is. Your buds will form up much higher on the plant. The main cola (stem) and all the side stems is where the buds will form. Once you put it into flower and you see the development of the buds, it will make more sense to you.

I know where the buds form up. Question is not about the buds. Problem is not about the buds. Actually this isn't a problem at all. But not perfectly normal either. Growing leafs and stems from abnormal places, will not make sense to me in any stage.

PLEASE HELP!!! I am having the same problem! My plant's pods are producing that EXACT same ummm Leaf/branch/flower?? I have no idea what 2 call it as i am a beginner.
I have searched this forum and many others in search of this strange formation and have studied up on hermies, males, females, in search of the illusive answer. As you can see from the pictures above this looks nothing like a female flower or the banana shaped pollen sacks of a male, this is for sure a leaf with a very small stem. I have tried to get pictures but my phone has a sorry ass camera. ughhh. but it is the same growth as as you see in the pictures. Btw my plant was 5 weeks old from seeds yesterday and started showing the growth (leaf) exactly 14 days ago. Idk if it matters but my other plants (6) of them are about 10 days younger and forming the same leafs. Sooooo lost!

    Great forum! Thank you all!

P.S. No thread theft intended my fellow smoker/grower, just looking for the same answer as you = )

Well, its not true calling it a problem. Having a couple of extra bud sites is good isn't it? Just a strange thing. Here I had more of them, and I suspect this is a hormonal thing. I have it on different strains so I can't say its about genes but hormones in soil or fertilizers.
    Still looking for an answer.

I don't think it's a problem. I have a couple of those, usually right at the base of the plant where it hits the soil. I think it's probably from over-nuting. It's not really going to detract from the plant because it will probably remain so small. If it gets large and it's bugging you, cut it off. that would be my advice. certainly nothing to worry about imo.
