switching to flower need some advice

I currently am running my veg at 20 on 4 off - lights on from 3pm to 11 am -that will be off from 11 am to 3 pm- This worked best for my schedule, I have physical therapy during those hours- problem is next week I have to go in for some surgical procedures, not planned - I want to turn my flower time to on at 7 am off at 7pm , this will facilitate a friend helping me with my girls while I recover- can I just switch to this time change and I will be cool? if I need to adjust slowly into this time frame I only have a couple of days to do so. I figure there will be different opinions on this matter- this is my first indoor grow and all is new for me :hippy:

    Hey little,
It would be fine to start your schedule anytime you want! Being in the dark is cool. It would just put them in the dark for a few more hours before you flower. You'll be fine with whatever you choose. 12/12 is what you want.I have mine turn on at 7pm and off at 7am. Just can't go back to vegging once you start flowering. You could.. But why? Go with your plan and hope all goes well with your surgery.

Ga- thanks for quick reply- question though- too many oxycon's this morn- you said put them in the dark a few more hours first- explain please- I wanted to run the 12 12 same as yours - but my health situation rules my life for now- by the way what part of Georgia? I am only a short distance from state line- I use to canoe a lot in your state

I agree with Ga.......add dark time; to make schedule changes in flowering.

Add light time to make vegging schedule changes.

    Little,
With the light schedule you are on now will change to 12/12 on at 7pm and off at 7am. You are having them on during the day. So,if you change to my schedule you will be in the dark period a little longer the first day then right on scedule the next day. With no harm,no foul!

I hope this crop will have you taking less oxy's. May your pain subside!:stoned:

I love being on the Flint River and the Chattahoochee. I am about 45 miles from Atlanta. I canoe both those rivers. Normally camp and make a weekend of it. Killer Fun!I've had the same Old Towne canoe with wicker seats for 15 years. It's seen many sets of shoals and rapids.Flipped more than once and chased many floating beers.hehe

Just change the timers to what you want and stick with it....one change like this will have no effect other than to signal time to flower....the chance of causing nanners is nil if it is a one time thing....no more changes after that.
