Harvesting Question
I was giving a little thought as to what is considered a better method of drying. This question is geared for purposes of quality and not speed. Maybe some of the the more experienced folks could recommend if hanging your plants upside down in a cool dark place with a small fan moving the air around, or trimming a bit and putting buds on racks/screens is better.
Personally, I have always cut secondary branches from the main stalk and hung for almost a week them trimmed/manicured and finally a cure, by burbing for about 15 minutes in mason jars every day for another week or two.
Picked up some meds today called "The White." It was so pretty and smelled amazing. I know these are the perks of a good dry/cure process. I envy the ones who have it down like that.pipefitter Reviewed by pipefitter on . Harvesting Question I was giving a little thought as to what is considered a better method of drying. Harvesting Question
Hi DP. Thanks for helping out. That's super cool. I read it all. It provides a lot of info. I was however, a little more curious about what others opinions are, and what they have learned based on experience. Not so much on how to do it and why.
I got it though. The slower the better- and curing is important to quality.
I read so much on this site I start wondering things and wanting to talk to people about it.
I read read read and really was looking to engage in conversation about a topic. I realise these topics are probably a little redundant though, for the Vets. New folks like me come around and ask questions that have been answered a hundred times over for years. At any rate, I do really appreciate the help and will try not to ask "TOO"many questions I already know the answer to. Have a great new year.

Harvesting Question
I'm making efforts to slow my drying down,.... it's tough here in CO with such low humidity.
I'm pretty much like you tho, cut down, then trim off large fans, leaving little "Sugar" leaves on, then dry for a week or so before de-stemming and jarring to cure for about 3 weeks.
Most of my buds are crispy after about 4 day's of hanging!I added a tray of water this last time,.... I'm 6 day's in now and things are just starting to get crunchy, still not ready to jar. I hope this batch smokes smother!
