Marijuana Botany Robert Connell Clarke is a good place to start for the basics and how to begin. I've read it and Ed Rosenthal's book on indoor growing and Jorge Cervantes Indoor Marijuana Horticulture
Read them and all the growing forums before you go any further. :thumbsup:
