sit in a comfortable position, keep your back straight, position your hands in whichever style feel right, and start off concentrating on your breathing. focus on the oxygen, focus on your heartbeat, keep doing this and let yourself justslip away. also you can do a kind of light self hyptonis by just silently repeating to yourself a word like 'peace' or 'tranquil' or anything happy and relaxing. hope this helped, im really really stoned and dont rememebrwhat im even typing. peace

You don't have to sit up with your back strait, that's just the traditional yogi possition. the best way for someone innexperienced is to lie on the floor in the corpse pose. just don't lie somewhere like a bed or couch, just the floor, nowhere really comfy that you would normally fall asleep in.

i like keeping my back straight cuz it makes you feel like you can breath in deeper. a big part of my meditation is focusing on my lungs, and sitting up straight helps me do that. i guess what ever works for you, go with it. i am blazed so high right now, so peace.
