Nodes growing out then die?
Well Rusty i used the Fossil Fuel or [Humic Acid] to help over all plant growth and i believe it did work. My reading on it said not only would it help root growth and structure, but assist in over all health of the plant, which was something i needed. And i used it more then once a week for a bit, which is why it got root bound so fast as you pointed out. I like the stuff, but as advised, i will not use it as often as i did with this plant. But i will use it with re pots maybe as it helps fight off virus and helps with infestations according to the site.

The leaves would only fall after they would completely dry up. It would start with veins with yellow on the outer parts of them, then spread from finger to finger, then dry out and fall off.At what point do the leaves start falling off? Early growth phase, late growth phase, at the start of flowering...?
But this is not happening any more, its only the growth on the main stems, which i pictured the post before today. But if you have time to open the above pics, you will see that it still continues at different parts of the main stems only.
I flushed when i re potted, but not when i recently re potted into the 5 gal pot. But once she went to the 5 gal, everything about her started looking better, but the growth from the main stem. Someone said that she might be just showing her age and it seems like its not interrupting the plants production as of yet. But im just wanting to figure out what would cause this as iv never seen it on any ones plants or my own before.Do you flush...? If so, how often and how much?
What do the roots smell like?
I did not smell the roots, but have done lots with Bonsai so i would have figured that out by looking at them and feeling them.
Are your nutrients over a year old?[/QUOTE]
Stamped date on nutes say they are fresh:thumbsup:
Yes my medium is soil bought from my nursery and this is the 3rd bad mixed with about 25-30% perlite. I would never use field dirt, but if you wanted to you could. But it needs baked in the oven, which smells really bad, not to mention all the goodies a person would need to add to it to have the necessary organizes in the soil that a plant would need for growing. I wouldn't know where to start so i by mine. I have found a place i can get anything i need now so il go with the FF or bio tone, which is something the hydro guy told me would work great. He said no nutes till 2 week flowering:wtf:but gotta look into this further.Dirt? Dirt is what you clean from under your fingernails. I'm guessing you meant soil...? (you're not using ANY dirt from your fields, are you) :wtf:
this is what iv been doing. I only needed to find something that would help the plant, then i began to eliminate ''fixes''. Now some Grow and Bloom. If it is a disease, cloning won't help. I would strip my additives, and go with the basics only.
The Fossil Fuel came with 3 bottles of the line of the Earth Juice line off ebay. Why the two different nutrients manufacturers? Try just one, as they may be interracting negatively with each other. At least this way, you can see if maybe it's something you're adding. But if it hasn't been affecting other plants and strains, doubtful that's it.
I was an ok deal and i only need 2 more bottles and i will have the entire line and the reading i did about the Fossil fuel, i thought would help the plant, and it did.
Well im learning as im playing here with the nutes Rusty. I like to see my soil dry out a bit so after i do i feed. Then try and go at least days in this 5gal pot then feed or water, depending on how the plant looks. If leaves are up enjoying the lights i will give water and let dry. Next time il feed for sure, but if i see anything that looks different from the last feed/water, i ponder which it will get and most often its water or a weaker feeding. But i have much to learn, i do know that.During the winter, I feed set ammounts (quantities) weekly, and water to slight runoff inbetween if necessary. That way I can look at the plant(s) on the next feeding day, and know how much or how little of the nutrient mix to add that week.
But im working on it and soon il have the feeding schedule down to where i know my plants will be happy, its just much easier outside. But thanks for popping in Rusty, this thing is tough to understand. The plant growth thats dying off at least. As far as the feeding, i think thats something i need to figure out for myself, but thanks again
