400 Watt HPS Bob Marley's Lambs Bread grow log

the hood is about 13in from the tops of the plants. but i have a sealed air cooled hood and there is no heat issue in the canopy. The canopy remains at around 72*F at all times during the light cycle. There is hardly any heat coming from the light at all.

ok so everything has stabilized. Thanks for trying to help out before everyone. I was just kinda waiting everything out after the transplant, which i forgot to take pics of. Sorry about that. It turned out that vegging under an HPS causes the plants to wilt after the day cycle. I haven't ever vegged under anything else so i wouldn't know any different. Any opinions? I took the plants out of their 3 gallon buckets and put them in 1 gallon buckets. They have grown alot. Its kind of hard to tell since the buckets are so much bigger but the plants are 9in-12in high now. When i topped them they were only about 5in. They have bushed out a lot but i missed on one of the plants and it kept growing which is why i have a 12in tall plant and the rest are around 9in. I would top it again but i dont want to stress it out so close to flowering.

in this pic the arrow is the plant that is 12in and didn't get topped. You can see its not as bushy as the other plants. It actually has about the same amount of nodes as the other plants it just stretched out to 12in. Kind of sucks if you ask me.

both of these pics were taken on 1-2-10

this is just another pic of them in there

ok well its been a couple of weeks since i last logged. Everything has been going well. I increased the amount of nutrients that i was giving the plants which made them get darker like they should be. These pics are of them today. The tallest one is 20in the shortest one is 18in. I topped them all when they were about 5in so they have gotten really bushy and have filled in the area very nicely. I have a very thick canopy now. I just started flowering last night and they have already started to grow very quickly.

I'm 7 days into flower and the buds are starting to develop. You can see a couple of them in the pictures below. The tallest plant is about 24in tall now and the shortest one 22in. They are doing really well and are really healthy. I think the only reason i was having problems in the beginning is because my ph meter wasn't accurate at all and was causing my plants to have PH issues without me realizing it. I bought a new PH meter that was much better than my previous one and since then the plants have been very happy.

yea, i have an 8 in in line fan on the top back right of the box pulling air from the vent which is on the bottom front left of the box. I stood in there before i started growing and there is quite a lot of air movement in the box. My buddy helped me design the box and he has had quite a lot of luck with the same type of setup. He however has now moved on to a bigger setup. I deffinitly wont have a problem with air flow in this box. Theres just too much suction from that fan. :rastasmoke:

Like I said its a sealed wind tunnel in there so I shouldn't need another fan.
