WHEN??
You should be able to go several weeks but of course it's strain dependent too. some strains just suck up the nutes!
Watch your ladies, they'll tell you when it's time. Or toss in some Osmocote or other controlled release fertilizer and don't even worry about it.

WHEN??
I started with happy frog,.... but quickly went to Ocean Forest soil for the stronger nute charge out of the bag.
I've heard that clones will burn if put straight into OF, but I've never had a problem, and am starting to think it's growers that "Root" clones in soil that have made that observation. :wtf:
As for when to add nutes, at least with the OF soil I do my vege without adding any. I start clones rooted in rapid rooters in .5L pots, then when they are about 6-8" tall and starting to show signs of root bound (Stressed leaves, and daily waterings) I bump to 1 gallon.
The larger pot includes a bunch of new fresh dirt that has a strong nute charge, so still no need for nutes.
Then when the girl is about 1.5-2' tall I move up to a 3-5 gallon (depending on strain and flowering time) and move into flower, this final up pot is done just before or early into flowering depending on strain. Again, this charges the nutes with all the fresh soil, so I start adding flowering nutes after the first few waterings.
As for nutes, I use Techniflora, and follow the recipe. (other than the vege, which I use on my mothers since they are bonsai, and in the same dirt and bucket for extended periods.)
