hps bulbs hortilux or other source for good prices + great spectrum?
I need to replace my bulbs, it's been over a year.
Hortilux tells my local grow store they can no longer discount their stuff.
$99 + tax for bulbs, seriously? even when I'm buying multiple?

Electrical supply house. Who sells more lightbulbs...a grow shop or an electrical supply house? My local stores have never asked to see my electrical license and I get bulbs at wholesale or half of retail. Just act like you're an electrician! Not sure what wattage you use, but it will be cheaper at a supply house.
I use a Eye Sunlux 400 hps and it does great for flowering!

huh. I'm not finding them cheaper at the online electrical supply places.
I did end up finding these for ~81 at amazon, shipped.

Not the online ones.....go play like your an electrician at your local store if you want a discount...just pay cash! Use the phone book and call the locals and see if they stock your bulb and what the wholesale price is and then ask for retail or list price. Act like you are reselling the bulbs to one of your "customers" greenhouses or whatever. You want to find a wholesale electrical supply house and pay the same price an electrician would pay....about half of retail. I think you're still looking at retail prices at that price! I'm not an electrician, but my supply house thinks I am, therefore, they give me a cheap price on wire, commercial time clocks, and parts/bulbs. It's usually half of what I would pay at Home DePot or sLowes for the exact same part! Good Luck!
