Adding to the political debate surrounding medical marijuana and its legal pharmaceutical derivative Marinol, it seems Big Pharma has a vested interest in keeping marijuana illegal and harassed medically because a 10 mg capsule of Marinol cost $27.00, 60 10 mg caps $1600+. If that was a 60 day supply, people are really getting ripped off because that's more expensive then a qp that could get most patients through a month or more. And now the greedy states are making restrictive laws, rules, regulations and crying for taxes on things they deem illegal at the same time. What BS. imp:

We need to revolt. Not just us but everyone, we aren't getting the rights that we fought for against the britts (i know it may sound like i'm being over dramatic). But i honestly think that if things don't change eventually there will be another revolution, persay.

But you are right they can't make laws and taxes on something that they themself consider to be illegal. That's just straight greed.

If people don't revolt soon in one form or another, they will be enslaved before they know it. And, the fight for cannabis freedom could be just the cause to defeat all this bullshit we presently face. And this extortion for Marinol is just one minor aspect of the whole. I refuse to submit to liars and hypocrites.

I will quote my favorite author here. Potentially, a government is the most dangerous threat to man's rights: it holds a legal monopoly on the use of physical force against legally disarmed victims. --Ayn Rand

Regardless of whose philosophy one subscribes to, its quite apparent that what the Founding Fathers hadn't, or possibly had envisioned has somehow come to pass. Their ideas and application with the checks and balances system was to keep corruption out of our government to where it doesn't corrupt the whole system. They believed that not every aspect could or would be corrupted.

They failed in believing that the leaders who came after would uphold their ideals, especially the First Amendment and the Bill of Rights. They also failed in that those who came after allowed the halls of congress, the courts, and the executive branches to be impregnated with liars, thieves, common criminals, and the most inhuman personages history has brought upon this country.

If I can't be free to make my own choices in life as to my life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, especially where it comes to what I ingest considering all the chemicals I'm forced to ingest daily that are put in foods without proper inspection, then I absolutely live with an illusion of freedom.

The government provides no security of, or for, the general welfare, usurps individual rights as to health choices and the right to have an income and make a living, creates criminals of those who are innocent, and allows the truly guilty to walk free among us all.

To these people I say, fuck you, you are the lowest beings on the face of the planet, and I wonder how you can stand to look at yourselves in the mirror. :twocents: imp:

The founding forefathers didnt fail anything. The whole fundamental of our country was built on the Idea that the CITIZEN Republic owns ITS GOVERNMENT. Its the people who have failed to uphold their duty. When You have a Population of entitlement attitude, MTV, dumbed down public schools system, Gangster rap, No morals, No heritage, youth this is what you get for a government down the road...Really I guess you cant blame the people....It IS the corupt leaders dumbing us down on purpose...I personaly think we are WAY past the point of no return but thats just me...some might think other wise.

I can agree with the point that its the citizens who failed, but it was by proxy. We've been lulled into believing that those we elect to office hold the interests of the people first. But, we've been shocked to find out that we delegated our rights to those who don't see them the way individuals do.

Just look at the disparity between the price of Marinol, big pharma's, product, and fresh, cured raw (just for illustration) cannabis at a dispensary or what you've grown yourself. Marinol can't hold a candle for effectiveness and relief giving.

On this new year, I declare myself independent of any federal law or state pertaining to the illegality cannabis in any way, form, word, deed, action, statute, code, written, verbal, or legislated. I as an independent person have the right to make decisions that effect or affect my life, liberty or my pursuit of happiness.

The government(s) laws against cannabis are without scientific foundation, support deadly black markets, bring corruption to those who are supposed to be stopping crime, not aiding and abetting it. As a citizen of the United States, it is my constitutional right and liberty to ignore or refuse to obey any law when it abridges my First Amendment Right to good health clearly defined in the constitution without twisting by corrupted courts, as the right to life and pursuit of happiness which cannot be separated.

Now, if you LEOs out there wish to take issue, and want to try and deny me that right, I say bring it on ASAP because soon, by the will of the people you won't ever be able to do it again. :S4: Some may say I'm crazy, but I'm not any where near as crazy as those assholes who wish to deny me my rights with out due process. Happy New Year! :birthday:
