According to the smoke of it, it is perfect. I dont wait for the buds to get crispy all the way through, just by the touch, then I jar and watch closely of course. The first week is a lot of burping but I like to slow dry so the potency stays as high as possible. I have never had a mold problem with drying and curing but thanks for the opinion. Looks can be decieving in pictures but trust me, they are dry and perfectly smokable without problems.

Thanks a lot, appreciate it:thumbsup: The buds are plenty dry and I know the pictures look decieving but they are dry. I found that waiting for the buds to get crispy all the way through calls for less potency IMO. I prefer slow drying and jarring ASAP. I dont mind burping and taking my time on the curing, I find that it really pays off in the long run. Thanks for your opinion though:thumbsup:

I also swap jars daily, that way the buds get a very even dry and cure. I always found the most crucial part about the whole process of growing to be the drying and curing stages. I can still remember my very first dry & cure...still laughing from that one The way I do things now makes a 90% difference in smoking quality for me. I dont feel I have it at 100% yet but soon enough I will, hopefully:thumbsup:

Great job! I saw your pics in the best nugs thread and had to see your grow log. I am amazed at the quality and size of those plants considering your using cfls. I am about a week and a half behind you and very excited, have never started a log though. Maybe next time. How many watts in total in the end of bloom? and what color temperatures? Thanks.

Thanks a lot, really appreciate it:thumbsup: My total watts in flowering was 670 watts. I mixed the spectrums for flowering because it seems to offer a lot more resin production (my other plant is nicer than this last one but not as big). I used about 80%-85% 2700k(RED-spectrum) and the rest was 6500K(BLUE-spectrum). If you happen to start a log with what you have left to finish let me know. I'd like to see what you got going.

Don't let anyone ever tell you CFL's cant produce anything worth smoking. The plant I just harvested only took 101-days total to finish and that was with stunted growth in the early stage of life.

I'm probably not going to start a log for this round since I'm so far in. I'm am going to start flushing in a few days, but I am starting to get into the habit of photo journaling so that is the first step to being able to maintain a viable one. I hate it when people disappear in the middle of their grow log I think cfls are great for being able to keep the light close to the plant without heat issues. I like how you integrated the spiral bulbs throughout. I do a similar technique for the lower half of my setup, but not much as I trim nearly every node (but I leave the leaves) up to the top few on each branch with a viable height. In these pics you might notice how I tie the blades of the large fan leaves together rather than clipping them when they turn yellow so as not to cause stress and allow the plant to continue to feed off of them without blocking the light to the lower branches. Contrary to popular belief, I actually veg under a 10k power compact typically used for marine aquarium applications. The plants love it and it keeps the internodes tighter. You have to select the bulb by comparing the spectral output graph of the bulb to a photosynthetic active radiation chart (P.A.R.) to get one that is appropriate for terrestrial plants such as cannabis. I am just starting to build my grow room now that I have refined my style. I just started growing maybe seven or eight months ago and am starting to come into my own. So I have a really good idea how I want things set up. I'm thinking of a vert grow, hps placed in the center and a circular scrog surrounding the lamp to maintain optimal distance without loosing any usable lumens through them having to bounce off the reflector loosing intensity and increasing distance from canopy on all light not in direct orientation from the lamp. Anyways, now I'm just rambling. For some reason its not letting me attach any photos. I'll post them over in the best nugs page so you can check them out. Cheers

So, Jon, for the next grow you're going to put the CFL's in bottles? what do you mean by that? you mean you'll put them in plastic bottles so they don't bur the plants? Like, cut the bottom off, string the plug through the cap, and have the bulb inside the plastic sheath, and then put that right against the plant?
