    A few simple questions

    Hi folks,

So I'm going to order a grow tent. The two sizes are 40x40x78 and 56x56x78. I only need about 4 plants and plan to grow them to about 4.5-5ft tall.

Will 40x40 be a sufficient area for four plants or should I really opt for the 56x56? I don't plan to do anything fancy like SOG. Will just be plants next to each other.

The second question is about carbon scrubbers. I bought one 2-3 years ago. It's only been used once for about 1 months, and was only on when the fan was on (so about 18 hours a day). Do you think it'd still be "good" to use? I've heard of people using 3-4 YEAR old scrubbers without a smell, but all of them say to replace after 12-18 months.

Last, I purchased some FoxFarm organic liquid fertilizers and the solid supplements maybe 2 years ago. They were used, then put away in storage. Should they still be usable (of course I will shake 'em), or have they lost their nutritional value?

    Thanks in advance!

All of this is coming from a noob grower, on my third right now, but imo:

    1) Go with the larger tent if you can. More room is ALWAYS better when feasable.

2)I don't see the carbon filter being a problem, however, even if it isn't optimal, you will have plenty of time to replace it IF you start noticing smell.

3)Idk. Sorry. I just got my first samples of FF nutes about a week ago. If you email them, they will send you free samples that would be enough to run at LEAST one grow of 4 plants, and maybe 2.

    Hope it helps!

I wouldn't recommend using them. Mine have a date on the top. My Big Bloom is 07.21.10. So its fresh.

Well, just in case someone has the same question, I contacted FoxFarm about it. Honestly was expecting them to tell me to buy more, since they're running a business, but instead here is what she said:

Well to answer your question the soluble Cha Ching is good for 4 years. As for the liquid nutrients the Big Bloom is good for up to 4 years and the Grow Big and Tiger Bloom are good for 3 years. So you are still good to go with what you have, to use them again if you are ready to start a new garden.

Interesting. One would think they'd degrade quicker.

Yeah, me too. I'm sure they lose some nutritional value but that just means you might need to bump up the dosage.

Anyway, got impatient and ordered the 56x56x78 tent.

Will definitely log my friend's grow when everything gets here.
