well purple stalks arnt the end of the world. Certain strains may exibit this thru the whole life of the plant. However many do believe tht its a sign of health issues or lack of nutrients. The twisting and odd looking top growth may be a sign of several things. First of all get rid of the mirrical grow if you wanna take this seriously. And if you live in a shitty east coast or southern state than you already are if ya get my drift. Anyway, somethin as simple as SuperThrive should do the trick. Which you can get at most hardware stores, if ya dont shop at our beloved hydroshops. The mirrical grow is compiled of mostly nitrates{animal waste]. Which amounts to low quality nutritional benifits for a high quality plant. Let em dry out, feed em with water a time or 2, then get a better nutrient feed. Something not meant for commercial applications. Try your local hydroshop if ya got 1....
weedwhore Reviewed by weedwhore on . Help! Purple viens, withering new leaves! (Pics) Himalayan Gold, topped early once. Noticed purple viens stretching from the top of the stem to near enough the bottom around 4th week of veg. Now in week 5 the purpleing viens have darkened and newer leaves are beggining to twist, deform and not grow. The mean stem seems to have stopped growing and becoming weaker. Only used mirricle grow a few times (standard dose). I also have 3 other Himalayan Golds that were FIM'd, they also have slight purple viens but very healthy. I am using 250w Rating: 5
