WHO KNOWS OF FRIENDLY DRs in THE AREA!!!
Why would it be useless to attend meetings with other med patients and people like me who want to learn about RI's programs and learn the things that will make the transition easier once I'm located in RI.
Networking is the best way to make friends and become Involved with others who share a common bond to keep mmj programs alive and the more people we have the louder our voices and rights will be heard.
I'm not an 18 yr old kid who has an ass ache who wants to get an Authorization to smoke MJ purely for no real medical Disabilities and me being 49 yrs old with a life time of disabilites has a real reason and stake at needing and getting the Authorization.

my only comment was you never stated your intention to move to RI.
you wouldn't believe the amount of people on here (admitted, most are cops!!!) that think that they can just go get a RI mmj card with a doctors rec from RI but still live in MA.
i was just confirming that you planned to move to RI

To be honest with you it is sad the way RI runs it's mmj program and how hard it is to find a Dr. with balls who has compasion and stands up for our rights and if you read about places like Denver, Colorado & WA State, California you don't have this problem of trying to find a Dr. to get an Authorization and Maine & RI are the worst places and I have read it on many boards and think it's a sad situation..

I see you've posted this twice. Is this a regular Dr. office? Are they willing to pre-qualify? And most importantly what is your affiliation with whatever this phone number leads to? I have IBS and have been unable to receive a rec. from my GI doc and this may be helpful if anyone has a couple answers.

I am directly affiliated with the program, we have a staff of several extremely qualified professionals who are well respected in the local medical community and who have received praise from other high ranking officials in the medical community for what we have accomplished. you may call anytime about making an appointment, we do a thorough pre-screening over the phone to verify that the consultation would be in your best interest to receive. Call 401 -228-5184 anytime seven days a week for more info or to make an appointment, currently taking appointments for the end of april. We are located in providence , near the court house.

Ok, I need to know if this is a scam. I called and spoke to a nice woman who set me up for an appointment. The thing that bothers me is she said I had to bring $300 cash. I am desperate as my doctor flatly refuses and gives me Vicodin instead. I am willing to pay the $300, but I can't afford to be ripped off.
Can anyone confirm that this place is legal and legit?

WHO KNOWS OF FRIENDLY DRs in THE AREA!!!
PLEASE HELP! In need of a compasionate mmj Dr. I suffer from disk herniations in L4 and 5 which are torn and bulging in 3-4 but not burst like in 4/5. 4-5 s-1 sciatica shooting pain 24/7 from lower back to ankle.Heres my problem... I was in the accident back in 96' and did about 3 years of treatment. Phys ther. , traxion , 2 seperate nerve blocks with cortizone , and every pill under the sun... felt like a drugstore. I had spent more money on anything and everything possible to aliveate the pain with no results. Walking is/was the worst in terms of pain increasing , and sitting just wasnt happening in terms of finding a comfortable position... occassional falling etc. due to nerve damage or pushing on nerved making me lose strength/balance... ok so I wont bore you anymore, you get my point if you know what pain does to your mind.... as a last ditch effort I tried mj and WHAM... i SLEPT, i MEAN SLEPT FOR THE FIRST TIME IN YEARS... pain deminished to being tolerable. etc etc etc. you know the rest. So here I am... drug free, no more uppers downers and all arounders hat they were so willing to give me... Anti inflaMatories and pain pills WHAT A JOKE! So here I am 2011 and am trying to find a Dr. to help me with my debilitating injury. I have a file filled with all my medical stuff... mri notes and findings ... initial one showing tear in L4 and 5 and bulging in 3-4... electro something showing weakness in motoring skills or something... also have all my lawyers notes and demand letters showing my permanent injuries etc... But this was from a perion of say 1996 through 1999 roughly... Im sorry for such a long boring post but somebody must know something.. I have no recent history... no medical... and have looked and looked on where to go or what to do... one dr. went out of business and then ive been lead down many wrong avenues.
