WHO KNOWS OF FRIENDLY DRs in THE AREA!!!
OK, We as patients and caregivers need to be able to keep ourselves up to date on whats happening in our program..And Im sure many have seen just how hard it is to get a DR to write the recommendations(Even your primary care DR for what ever condition/s he sees you for)So..I think we need a thread for people WHO "KNOW" certain Drs that will help Patients with recommendations and Renewals.
This IS NOT intended to exploit or put Drs Names out there.IF YOU KNOW OF A DR/Clinic, JUST ADD A CONTACT TO YOUR PROFILE FOR PEOPLE TO CONTACT YOU FOR INFO AND STATE HERE THAT YOU CAN HELP..THX....
And If you Do NOT agree with this idea..YOU DONT HAVE TO POST HERE SAYING ITS NOT RIGHT,TO YOU IT MIGHT NOT BE, BUT TO OTHERS ITS JUST WHAT WE NEED.hghflyrjd1 Reviewed by hghflyrjd1 on . Hey there, This may be quite helpful to all of you who need to know of docs in RI who provide recommendations for the MMP. The Providence Journal wrote an article about 21 Doctors who made the most recommendations for the program. I will try to add the link her. Hope it helps you. attachhttp://www.projo.com/news/content/marijuana_doc_sidebar_03-14-10_8PHLP2J_v17.20a6dd2.html

You should get a copy of 1000watts in there, there is a doctor that does Medical Consultations for Natural Alternatives. You can get a copy at you local grow shop or RIPAC. And in 2 weeks or so the new issues of 1000watts will be out.

:jointsmile:Not meaning to offend anyone-It would be a bit foolish for anyone to think that a Dr. in RI would just give out recommendations to people for the program without establishing a Dr/Patient relationship and confirming that he/she is eligible. RI is not as liberal as California in meeting criteria for the medical mariuana program. There is no quick legal way-unless you want to pay off a doctor as someone suggested in another post. I have my patient card from the doctor who has been managing my pain control.

I wouldn't suggest paying a doctor for a recommendation unless you have the resources to do that. As a patient, you will pay enough for the meds unless you can grow it yourself. For those on Social Security or Disability, the price one pays for meds is pretty steep. It may not be cost-effective for some people. Remember that we are friends here. If any of you want to get in touch with me, I would be glad to offer a few names. I'm not keeping secrets here. I'm sure there will be even more types of docs writing recommendations in the near future as well as clinics opening.
