Conditions: Political or Scientific/Medical Decision?
Has anyone noticed that the CDPHE's list of APPROVED and PENDING medical conditions is empty, while the list of DENIED conditions includes many health issues for which there is research showing the benefits of cannabis?

Asthma, bi-polar, crohn's, opiod dependence, anxiety/depression... come on. There are medical studies, some in peer-reviewed journals, that show benefits in these areas. And PTSD? Even the VA has taken a soft stance on marijuana use for veterans.
It seems to me like these decisions on what marijuana does and does not help aren't being made by experts in the relevant scientific and medical fields, but rather are political decisions meant to keep the list of people who can use it legally to a nice manageable size for them.quetzal Reviewed by quetzal on . We've urged them in the past to accept conditions that are approved in other states (PTSD for example). They haven't budged. It seems like a fairly easy litmus test. I'd encourage people to contact the DoR and ask them for at least that much.

I definitely think they need to expand the list, but the inclusion of chronic pain makes it possible for virtually anyone with a medical condition to get approved. My doc wrote me in as chronic pain due to X condition, so I would hope most of them would do something similar, even if it's a stretch.
