yes, typically, it does. you can harvest early if you want. this type of plant is just an annual, only lives less than one year.

does the end of flowering cause yellowing leaves?
i wanna push this plant to the absolute limit.
i only got 10g of super buds off my other plant that i grew in a 32oz cup.
this one has the stickiest, fruitiest, most purple buds i've ever seen.
the only problem is that the buds are small and i want them to put on weight.

Hey marijuanavillebilly sounds like you have a good setup goin. Yellowing of leaves is common among some types of bud. I've seen lower fans leaves start to yellow up during the end of the 3rd week of flowering of a 9 week plant. As the plant begins to flower it uses all its stored up energy to form the buds. Usually you will begin to see the lower fan leaves turn yellow and gradually make its way up the plant. The plant no longer needs these leaves to survive so it drops them instead of wasting valuable energy trying to keep them alive. Sort of like a tree dropping it leaves in the fall.
As far as getting the best yield, I would try adding a molasses based nut to your feeding schedule. Also maybe try finding a good bud hardener to use during the last few weeks as well.
Also I would maybe lower your ph a bit. 7 is a bit high for a plant in the flowering phase, and a good flush never hurt a plant. Hope that helped a bit. Happy Growing!

molasses... MMMMMM.
i'm now on a tight budget and the advanced formula of FloraNova won't allow mixing of inorganic materials and substances.
the only thing it accepts is lemon juice, molasses, corn syrup, and un-bleached sugar.
a flush is in store for this little "bud"dy.
will alll the old pistils fall off as the new buds form and white ones come out?
or will they turn orange, then dry red, then fall off and ruin the crop?
the trich's are all clear, i don't need a scope to see them.
i can just touch the buds and the plant sticks to my fingers... mollasses may make it too sticky? NOT!

Nothing can make the bud to sticky... LOL. As far as the pistols go... I don't believe they fall off. During the last few weeks of flowering the bud will swell and the pistols will begin to change colors and look like they are getting sucked back into the bud. As far as telling if its done, you might want to get a microscope to check the resin glads (unless you fell you can see the trich's well enough). They will start out clear like they are now and will change to a milky white then to the amber color. If your looking for a cerebral heady stone then harvest when they begin to turn milky white. At about 50% milky is around peak ripeness. This will give you the cerebral along with the physical body high. Harvest when most the trichomes are amber for (my favorite) the full body couch lock high.
You're little bud'dies look to be doing well. I'd keep an eye on your leaves thou. Even thou it is common for leaves to turn yellow it could be some kind of deficiency. If they begin to get little black spots on the yellow leaves you may have a manganese deficiency. This is often common in indoor growing. It normally shows up in younger leaves before older.
Like your potting container. Atleast McDonald's is good for something.
