This grow has been going for a bit over a month. I've been planning this log for a while but just now got time to do it.

Let me inform you of my intensions, therories, and materials used. Any info will be much appreciated. I invite opinions and tips, if you see something wrong, don't hesitate to inform me.

I'm restarting my indoor grow. I haven't grown indoors for about 4 years. It resparked my interest since my outdoor grow went so well last season, I didn't want to stop. I purchased some Nirvana seeds earlier this year, AK48 and Snowwhite. Outdoors the AK48 did not produce well, it had a weird phenotype or something. Now the Snowwhite seed that was harvested, harvested some dense, dense crystal covered nugs, very sweet smell in bag, even sweeter broken up and the smoke...? Well, it's sweet too!

I started with 7- AK48 seeds, several of the seeds looked immature. I soaked them in a shot glass for 12 hours, til they sank. Most had cracked and started showing a grow tip. I then put seeds, tip down, into peet pucks that were already swollen from soaking. Covered the seeds then put the seed tray on a seedling heat mat, put the clear cover on and placed a dark towel over everything to hold in heat. All the seeds popped and were growing in 3-4 days. All started healthy under a bank of 2-4' 2bulb flouresant fixtures. 2-Grow bulbs, 1 soft and 1 cool tubes. When roots emerged from peet pucks I planted into 3" net pots and hydroton. I have 2 cheap DWC buckets I got off ebay. The container has it's drain holes sealed shut and uses it's drain tray as the lid. The lid has a hole in the middle for the pot and a bulkhead fitting for the air line. I only have 2 of these buckets so the others share a plastic storage container. I forgot to mention, I am using GH FloraNova products. I've used them before, hydro and soil, and like the product. I'm using both "GROW" and "BLOOM" and their matching Floralicious. I will be adding the liquid and dry KoolBloom when I get to that part. About 2 weeks away now.

So far the growth has been very healthy on these 7 seeds. They respond well to their hydroponic growing system and nutrients. At one point I put 5 plants in my custom made drip/tube system. Because of leaks and other problems they were taken out and put back in their tray. During their short stay in the drip tubes the roots of those plants were damaged quite a bit. Like they dried or rotted. All came back once put back in the hydro-tray. Under 18 hours of light a few plants started showing sex. #2 showed balls then hairs...definitely hermie. #7 turned male, and #5, the biggest strongest, turned male.

AK48
#1-?- Very strong-10 clones
#2-Hermie-strong plant-gone
#3-?-not very strong as others, smallest-5 clones
#4-?-VERY big, stout plant, HUGE shade leaves, tight nodes-5 clones
#5-Male-very strong vigor and smell-5 clones for seed
#6-Possible Hermie-strong plant-5 clones
#7-Male-gone

I also went and got some clones from my local dispesary. 3- Purple Bubba kush and 3- Northern Lights#5 x Haze. They looked well rooted but very stressed and nutrient deficient. I put them in 3" net pots w/ hydroton. After a couple days under the flouresant tubes I decided to give them a neem oil bath. Bad decision... the clones did not respond very well. The oil stuck to the leaves and seemed to suffocate them. The first 2 ( Purple Bubba ) dunked were the first to die. The others look to be pulling thru. Now the NL#5xHaze are doing good and coming out of the stress, the last PB kush looks as if it could go either way. Next time not doing that!!! I just didn't want spider mites!

I noticed that I can't add attachments to this 1st post????!?! Hopefully I can in future?!?
