HOW DID IT HAPPEN?
I have a hermi and trying to figure out how it happened has been driving me crazy!
The plant was about 6 months old when I decided to flower her and I had to chop 14-15 inches off the top to fit it into my tent, also I kept her "it" in the same 5 gallon planters pot that I originally planted "it" in.
I was told about 2 weeks into flowering that I should have re-poted "it" into fresh soil! could that have done it, being in the same pot and soil for that long? or a bad seed to begin with?? I also about 2 weeks ago, started watering "it" every other day instead of every day as I had been doing the 1st 4 weeks of flowering.
Its been fed foxfarm grow big, technaflora boost, bloom and carboload and big bud! going from plain water to nutes every other watering! which I was told by my local supply store was the way to do it and that all of the above was all ok to work with one another, could that have done it? It's been in a secret jardin tent in the basement of my home and it's very dark in this basement (very little light) and has been running 12-12 from 9am-9pm consistently, the temps have been no lower then 61 at night and no higher then 72 through the day! no pets! no male plants anywhere!! I'm at my wits end! I'm new to all of this! any help? thanks.yetibear Reviewed by yetibear on . HOW DID IT HAPPEN? I have a hermi and trying to figure out how it happened has been driving me crazy! HOW DID IT HAPPEN?
it hermied becaseu your not supposed to chop 15 inches of plant off during flowering. you only chop in veg, and if you have to you bend the plant not chop it. hope you cloned that massive groth you choped, could have been hermi seeds, if you got them from a reputable seeder then it was the chopping.

You still have not proven to me or anyone else for that matter that the plant produced the pollen.
1. Is the whole plant pollenated or just some of it?
A. If not what part(s) are?
2. Did you ever notice some little yellowish four petaled little things down low in the underbrush?
3. Did you allow the soil to dry or did you religiously water and nute? (I kinda think if it did hermie it falls into this area or root bound.)
4. The plant lived at age of 6 months in a 5 gallon container? That is asking for root issues.
I still would like you to look for nanners, they should still be there if the plant is hermi.....when you harvest watch for them as you trim out the buds. Either the open flowers or the nanners, either one.
You only have one plant in this grow?????
Oh, I transplant religiously between 14 and 21 days into flower. I dont' have any issues at all with nanners.

Seems you introduced many stress factors to that plant, hard to say which one made it turn. And as pointed out above you may have introduced pollen yourself, such as handling bag pot and then without washing your hands (up to ya elbows) tending your plants.
