    Viable Pollen

I know Canni, I keep going back and forth on this subject myself.
tikiroom Reviewed by tikiroom on . Viable Pollen I have a plant that was grown from a femmed seed. It has seen alot of stress and appears to be male. My question is if I save the male for pollen, would the resulting generation be prone to hermi? Rating: 5

And again, logic bares this out. If you are going to use a hermied female you want to induce the hermie as opposed to a natural hermie, which would be the result of unstable genetics. There are two ways to induce a hermie - light/heat stress during flower or by feeding it h2o with aspirin.

There is a huge dif in a hermie and a femm.

The hermie has both male and female genectics

The femm has only female genectics. This is why they can only be female seeds. Breeders do not use hermies for anything because it is past down.

Think of a Hermie as an inbreed North Georgia Squidbilly. Your going to get something but most likely it will be an abomanation. LOL

    bigsby,

I was wondering if you found those old threads you mentioned, or if you could suggest some "name tags" of the threads. So I could do a search to try and find these.

yeah that s the read i recomend looking at, getting fem seeds is not getting hermies to pollenate. youhave to use the same genetics and do not stress the plant is the important thing. you will need a clones and 2 grows going on at the same time in differant stages using the same clones.
