Good call. I don't think a mosquito drills down quite to the muscle. That would suck. And it would surprise me if even squeezing the flesh around the point of penetration would do it- surely the pressure would release at the seam (between sucker-appendage and flesh), before the structural integrity of the mosquito's body is compromised in a way for it to explode! lol

Hate them with a passion to say the least. In fact a couple of years ago when my husband and I bought our home I made him dig out large flower bed just b/c it attracted so many bees. The day I walked outside to smoke on my porch and saw a hornets nest in the flower bed was the last frickin day the flower bed existed. My husband thinks I'm nuts b/c I freak out so bad, but I don't care. What I care about are them not stinging me. I never feared them until I was 22 and got stung on the back of my neck. I'll never forget that. I was swatting a bee out of my car and instead of pushing him out the window I pushed it behind me, and wham, I got stung. HATE HATE HATE BEES WASPS HORNETS you name it, if it stings I can't take it. One time I killed a bowl b/c I dropped it running from frickin bee. I'm with you all the way, I wish those fricking things would DIE!

It's the kamikazes with no control that get me. Wasps and bees know where they're going and have excellent body control. You don't fuck with them, they don't fuck with you. Moths, june bugs, etc are just drunk frat bugs stumbling towards light. Most annoying.

The scariest flyers you could imagine are deep in the Davy Crockett National Forest in East Texas. Worked at a wilderness camp there. I had to do paperwork by lantern-light, and some of the freakiest creatures on the planet would buzz the tower: big green moths with wings bigger than my hands, june bugs heavy enough to knock cups off desks, wolf spiders setting up camp in your mosquito net...

Actually, tHere was no real need to mention spiders in this thread kramerica. Until they can fly (GOd help us), we should relax and pretty much let them do what they want.
