There are ways to raise ambient CO2 levels inexpensively, using dry ice is not one of them. Simply introduce fermentation of some sorts is alot cheaper. A jug with warm water, yeast and sugar will produce added CO2, we used that when I was a child on a tobacco farm to help growth of young plants in a greenhouse and I've used it just last year in a partnered indoor grow while having some high temp issues.

BUT you're asking about why CO2 is used, shows a total lack of understanding how plants in general work and how mj in particular grows. Besides reading till your eyes bleed here, you should invest in a book about plant biology or horticulture.

To grow successfully, you need to be smarter then the plant you are growing. :thumbsup:

BTW, TANKJR is correct, it is used to increase yields but only when everything else is dialed in. Small grows don't need it, if you grow properly.
