questions about flowering????
first off are you growing "sog" method? If so, then flower early. How much room you got? After switching the light cycle for flowering the plant will almost double it's size.. I flower my plants from seedling on the 6th week and get about 20-24" plants and yeild at least a dry oz. or more each plant of top quality bud. During the first 4-5 weeks of flowering i use 14 hrs of light then the last 4 weeks i switch to 12 hr cycle, then for the last 3 days i keep them in complete darkness before harvest to produce even more resin. Hope this helps :smokin:

Hey Ninja....still not using those ninja skills?
LOL! J/king!
It's entirely up to you when you switch from veg to flower and yep, when you do it has a great deal to do with how much you yield. Supposedly, if you can, let them go until they show "preflowering" traits or 9 nodes, or alternating branching, and then send them into flower for a good yield naturally. This alone will give you a decent yield. If we all could, we would grow 15 footers, topped or fimmed and get huge yields, tho most of us don't want to wait that long between harvests... so be realistic about it....you know they will keep getting taller as they flower, so you have to figure how high you want them to be when finished, to say how long you need to veg for. Work the problem backwards. How high will the light go and still get good light to the tops and lower buds, but not burn them? You also have to figure in how long do you want this to take to finish. Most avg. indoor growers want say 3 to 5 footers, so they veg until say half that, and send them into flower, but they also want to do it in a set amount of time, so what's your patience level? And how high to want them to be when finished? If it's a sog grow, you can send them into flower as soon as they get some roots down, but I don't recall exactly how your set up is...and I'm wasted...:stoned:

questions about flowering????
Sorry, forgot all about the light thing...yep, stoned again...There's several ways to go into flower. Some just go straight to 12/12 and stay there until done. Some go 12 to 48 hours of total darkness and then to 12/12. Some go gradually over time from veg light to 12/12. I used to go straight to 12/12 and leave it there, (and that worked just fine for many grows) but this time I went 12/12 for 2 weeks, to send them into flower cuz I know this works, and then went to 13/11 on the theory that buds love light to grow big. The jury's still out on that as they are not done yet. They are certainly getting big tho! I've not heard that short a light (10 or <10 on) setting being a big bud producer, but it will surely slow things down.
And I'll let everybody know what I think of the 13/11 thing when this batch is dried and weighed in a few more weeks.

questions about flowering????
thanks yall, after 2 weeks of 14on 10 off I swithed to 12/12. It's been a week on 12/12 and I'm seeing buds form, just running out of room with one plant because it has nearly tripled in size.

The growth upward should start slowing down in a few more weeks and then it should be filling out the buds, and very little growing up...if ya have to, do a little LST to keep stuff from growing into the lights...tough problem to have, huh? LOL!
