You can store clones (before you root them) in a moisture filled clippy bag in the fridge for months! This would mean you could take cuttings off your next set of plants and root them after you have harvested the plants you took the cuttings from, so you don't have to keep buying seeds.

I have done this twice with great success, Sometimes the cuttings can get a little ratty after a while, but they still root!
drudown11 Reviewed by drudown11 on . Papaya, Cream Caramel, Arjan's Strawberry Haze, LSD, Bubble Cheese (CFL GROW) Havent started a log for this grow but never too late. They are all at different points in flowering, some finishing in a week some two and one in three. Had some Ph problems and temp issues for a while but they look like there are going to turn out ok. Ive been using Canna Nutes and 500watts of CFLS, 2X250w in soil mixed with pertile. Took some nice pictures yesterday so thought i would share...LSD not currently pictures but the others are...enjoy. For those who saw this on plant problems i Rating: 5

Not made any yet, I have thought about it, but atm I seperate any leaves covered in trichomes as I trim and smoke that to stop me attacking my buds too early.
Cheers for that. Dont know if they would last the whole 9 weeks of flower to start them but still some interesting stuff in that thread, especially the vacuum sealing method.

Smoking trim ! Your a nutter phatjay haha. Got my bags today, the smallest micron bag had a hole in it so im getting a replacement. Probably looking forward to making the hash more than smoking the bud..seen the videos on youtube and now i wana do it myself !

Sounds interesting. Not too sure if i am in great need of one but ill put it on my list of stuff to buy but i want to get a new reflector first. I suppose they are good for diagnosing nute deficiencys..clever piece of kit ! You'll be glad to hear that my ph meter has been working wonders aswell.

Nice to see some evidence of the technique. How long did you refrigerate for before rooting ? and how long do you rekon they could last in the fridge before not rooting ?

4 out of the 8 girls are going to be stress ripening tomorrow. Got my water in the fridge which has been adjusted to 6.7 ph Going to give it to them and then put a box over them or a black bin bag to stop the light getting in from the other four. Worked well on my other grow so figured it should so the same with this one. Only difference this time is that im leaving them in darkness for 60 hours instead of the 36 hours. This being because there are only a few amber trichomes on each of the plants and i rekon after the 60 hours the ratio will be perfect.

The other four still growing will be 3 of the papayas and the lsd. I think the lsd is supposed to take a bit longer to mature, i rekon she'll be done in a week on wednesday (10 weeks of flower). And i rekon the remaining papayas will be another week plus stress ripening. They all seem to be at different stages but are one of the nicer smelling strains.

Ill upload a couple piccys tomorrow of me stressing out the ladies :rastasmoke:

Put four of the girls in a box and gave them lots of freezing cold water to sip on over the next two days. Got a group photo of the girls and the ones who have been put in the box, ready for the cut on thursday evening...cant wait

Cream caramel, bubble cheese, strawberry haze and a papaya all stressing out together in the box.

Feeling confident about my next grow..been quite naive to how much ph actually affects plant growth, nutrient uptake, even the ph in my area shocked me how high it was...good things to happen in the future with me and my ph pen ! ! :rastasmoke:

i would also choose a reflector first. a ppm meter is not needed for a soil grow but good lighting is a must have. glad to hear your PH pen is helping----which one did you get ? i am now using a Milwaukee PH600.
why is everybody so damn nice around here?

I saw similair ones to that on ebay but they werent branded and just looked like knock off 'made in china' bits of kit which are never good. Got this

Essentials pH Pen / Meter Hydroponics - Free Delivery on eBay (end time 01-Jan-11 15:42:09 GMT)

Set me back a little £35 which is about $55. I think its pretty good, completely water proof, beeps nd stuff and feels like a qualitiy build.

Agree with the reflector...its no1 on my shopping list, closley followed by a replacement red bulb and another veg bulb. C

I am using a Milwaukee PH600 myself, and it has been working great. Also stays calibrated too. Not bad for $15.

Old Mac managed 6 months... so I think 9 weeks is possible.

That's a good price for the spec. A lot of the cheaper ones are not accurate to within .1 (usually .2 or .3). Just one point though, that one is not waterproof, just splashproof.

I am very curious what you found after the 60 hours and the cold drink. I am growing a strong sativa/indica mix and see that catching the trichomes at the 30-50% mark as essential in the overall success of this grow.

hey charbud did the cold water cause the coloring on the leaves, or did that just happen during flowering?

    looks very pretty

Will give the clone thing a go with the next set of girls. Even if it doesnt work out it doesnt but if it does cheers phatjay !

My trims drying off atm. Going to make the hash on the 28th so look out for piccys nd the final product ! Half of the girls are drying now, half are dry, have tried all of them but they havent been cured so their final taste and flavour hasnt come out completely..so smoke reports later..

Its a technique i saw on a thread. By stressing your plants the thc production or potency increases for a short period i think. I take into account the trichome development also. When i see about 5 % ambers trichomes ill stress ripen them for the 2 and a half days. I did it with my previous grow and the bud was knocking guys out so i am going to continue with it ! Not the best explanation but bit of googling and you might learn a bit more but for me it just works !

Hi drudown, the colour of the leaves was there during flowering. I didnt know that the bubble cheese would go purple but it did and i agree its very pretty ! Wish the yield was a bit better of her though.

Will upload some more pics of the girls after christmas along with close ups and my hash nd all that stuff. Hope everyone has a good christmas :rastasmoke: C
