    late harvest?

My plants are on day 69 flower and the trichomes are not showing any amber. I harvested half the loot a week ago when they were at half clear/half milky and they haven't changed since! I'm viewing through a 30x jewelers loupe. They are Ak-47. I was intentionally harvesting at differing points to see if I could tell the difference much after drying and curing.
Should I go ahead and harvest the rest? Day 69 seems long for these and I'd hate to blow it at the end. The 4 oz I've got so far are great news!

    late harvest?

As I understand some strains hardly go amber.

Also, depending on the light your using you may never see any, again strain dependent. I know under my "PlantMax" HPS bulbs I hardly get any amber, but the finished product has always met with good reviews.

My AK47 seemed pretty much done after 49 day's (Afgani/Kush cross, 47 day flower) Trich's were about 1/2 cloudy/ clear, some hints of amber, and the pistils were all dying back, fans were yellowing, ect ect ect..... Wife loves it, couple friends tried it last night, and even tho it wasn't cured (just put it in a jar a couple day's ago) they both said the flavor was nice, then 5 minuets later were patting me on the back because they were medded to all heck! imp:

I am using a 250 HPS. So you think that might be part of it? I tried holding a blue sheet of paper behind for contrast and that still didn't show any amber. The pistils are dying off, and the buds that are left are so heavy they can barely support themselves. They look like they have more crystals every day though.

Yeah, the light is probably part of it. I'm not aware of a 250w HPS "Grow" light, most bulbs in that size are industrial lighting and the spectrum isn't right for plants.

I could of course be completely wrong, as I actually found a 150w "Plant" light (6500k) for the coral fish tank MH light that I was gifted when I first started growing.

It's a lamp that is switchable 250 hps and mh. I've only ever used the hps bulb in there though.
