The short answer to your question: it is up to the top cop in your area. You need to call and ask. If you live in a socialist utopia area (Berkeley, San Francisco, Oakland) there is NO way you are going to be allowed to harm some poor guy that's trying to rape you - he may have had a bad childhood after all ... but, my permit from Shasta County is good anywhere in California - even Berkeley. Though I can't imagine why I'd want to go there.

I live in one of those social utopias. CCP's are almost impossible to get. On the good side a fellon with a firearm is an automatic 5. No parole.

In our utopia, if someone it threating you, and you are in fear for your life, at home, ie. rape you.... that's a good shoot. Empty the gun.

On the other hand, if somebody is in your crop, you can't just blaze away til you hit them...you will go to jail.

Over the years I've been ripped off many times. Always give someone enough rope to hang themselves. Small amounts.

And yes, I have had a gun pointed at me. If I had a gun, and the chance to use, it I would not have. It just isn't worth killing for. Its a Plant. I can make more. I knew as soon as I handed it to him he was gone. Cops caught him hours later.

And then there is satisfaction. I live on an Island. You can hide, but you can't run. There is nothing like the look of realization, on some idiot that ripped you off's face, when you false crack them, while they are sitting at a stoplight in Kahalui.
