I just recently shut down a 2 year grow because of frustration. I am giving my self a break. I want to restart this spring and was wondering what would the best, easiest strains be to grow at 7,000 ft in Colorado. I have a 400 watt set up and have had good success with Bannana, Lemon kush, TW and NL. Other strains that were more Sativa I struggled with. I dealt with mites till my eyes bled. I use GH Flora in Sunshine #4 and for the most part, have had good success with yields averaging 4 ounces per plant.
I want to grow 3 headies and 3 body plants... a nice mix of 3 different strains?
Here is a pic of what I got from a Banana Kush - this pic is only the top 1.5 inches of the top cola... cola dried out to 1 1/2 oz.
Can I do better with more aclamated strains - ones that really like the elevation and environment? I want easy to grow, heavy yeilds, desease and bug resistant. (does Azamax do anything?)
Any advice is welcome... thanks
I was growing at around 6000' this summer. Two strains that did especially well were Purple Nepal, a strain called Rita Monk that I got from a local grower and Mt. Everest Skunk. I don't think Mt. Everest Skunk can be acquired anymore since it is a strain that was offered by the hated BC Seeds company who has now disappeared, but it really did well at altitude and when grown in dirt outdoors and created consistent 1/2 kilo yields.
