Need data on MMJ costs for county commissioners

I am building a presentation for local county commissioners on MMJ use to repeal a moratorium.
I'm looking for both revenue generated and cost of production for an OPG and an IPM facility
I'm also looking for info on incarceration costs for pot convictions in Colorado
It would be helpful to know how many inmates in the DoC system are there because of marijuana as well as how much it costs to house one prisoner.
My focus is on economic development and tax revenue generation for the city and county.
Any information would be very helpful

Thanks for the info and great links
Rob Corey is a good idea but I'd be surprised if he would come here to make a 5 minute presentation. But that suggestion gives me another idea.
    Thanks

You won't convince any CCs with data about incarceration in state prisons, since they do not have to foot those costs, and MMJ patients are not prosecuted. Stick to things that affect their bottom line. If you bring crime into your presentation, they'll harden. Instead, concentrate on the economic benefits, and try to find some good examples of other similar towns or counties who have good regulations. The only things the CC cares about are the cost to the county and the reaction of their constituents. If you can show them that MMJ will benefit your county and that commercial growing will not impact the community (i.e. cause neighbors to complain) you should do well.

FYI, make an appointment with the county planner and hear what he has to say before you go before the commission. If you can anticipate some of the commission's objections, you will be more convincing.

EDIT: If any of your surrounding counties have MMJ regs, you should get a copy of them to bring to the CC. They will be inclined to follow the herd.

    Great advice HighPop
    Thanks
I've already talked to the county planner and this was his idea so I have support there.
Hadn't thought about the crime angle much but you certainly make a lot of sense.
    Good stuff

I don't know what exactly the OP has planned, copobo, but since OPCL and IPM do not generate sales tax, I'm not sure that argument would work with commissioners.
