No shit, eh? And you can say what you want about spying etc. but the fact is, we have learned from Wikileaks that our country is engaged in, and actively covers up, some pretty ugly behavior.

This latest dump was nothing. Yeah, some embarrassment and yeah, it does have serious implications for state craft in the short term but what was really important was the previous leak which showed the murder of more than a dozen Iraqi civilians plus two Reuters journalists. Without their work we would never have known the truth about this incident, which of course should cause us to question a whole range of military activity in these wars. And this is what really has the USG pissed off.
