The problem isn't weather it's a 4 or 5 gallon bucket,... you have a seedling.


That seedling should be 4-6" tall before even considering taking it out of a 4"x4" square (.5L) pot. It's basically impossible to control inbound water, nutes, and PH with such a small and weak root structure in so much dirt.

Are you Screwed? No, but you need to keep a close read on your plant, she will be easy to over water, which can cause the surrounding soil to rot and deteriorate. Then when she grows roots out there it's not good for her any more.


As for Screwy, I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with a varigated plant. So the choice is up to you, grow it out and possibly get a good happy harvest, or cull it.
