Best way to cure? New to this
First go around and need advise for the curing process. I hung the buds up, they dried really, really fast (within 3 days). What should I do now? There is no way to place them in a jar for 2 weeks as there is no moisture left.

If you can hear the stem snap when you bend the nug yes, it's time to move them into jars for curing.

Three days from hanging only the outer 1/4" of the bud will be dry under most optimal conditions.
There's still plenty of moisture in there. Keep them hanging for at least a week.

jar them ASAP !!!!! overly dried buds lose potency quickly but hopefully they will become pliable after setting in the jar 3 or 4 days
why is everybody so damn nice around here?

Learn all the techniques. But with my present experience with what I just took from the last of my outdoor finished indoor, they were pretty dry to the touch after 3 days. I dried them on a box top and a sieve. I put them in jars yesterday, and overnight, some of the moisture returned. I was concerned they may have dried too dry as some were a little brittle. So, if yours are like that, jar them, but leave air space. Never cram the jars full of buds. And then keep them in the jars but let them air out a couple of hours a day. Each harvest and type of bud will present different drying times. I've had banana buds that I hung, others I've trimmed off the larger stem and dried like my most recent. :twocents:

"overly dried buds lose potency quickly"
THC isn't water soluble so the loss of water would do exactly NOTHING to it.

Folks who vape generally have no problem with dry bud and in fact prefer it. They still like their bud to have been gently handled though.

One last thing that I notice consistently is that when curing in Mason Jars with the two-part lid, when I open the jars to vent them, the lid is sealed a bit because the gases working in the jar create a mini vacuum. I don't know if anyone else has paid attention to this, but its always done it for me. When it pretty much stops being slightly sealed, I know I don't have to keep venting them as often. And I try a bud from the jar!!
