A question for Torog

Yo Torog,

I have a question for you, as you may have guessed by the title of this thread.. sorry, i'm slightly stoned and trying to resist the temptation to spew out a load of incoherent babble!

Anyway, the question:

Compared to some members of this forum you, your views and your beliefs seem extremely Conservative and right-right.. Surely you agree. But after reading through some old discussions something came to mind: You smoke Cannabis, you have a Jewish girlfriend (wife?) even though youre a Christian yourself, and in alot of respects you're open minded (though some of your beliefs may not be, you always seem to be able to admit when you were wrong or misguided, and you realise that some of your beliefs may wrongly single-out some groups of people).. So, compared to the majority of the people where you live, would you say that you would seem (to them) almost liberal and left-wing?

Yup..the very fact that I have long-hair and look like a hippy,is all it takes for these rednecks to judge me as being a liberal hippy. If you think that I'm conservative..you should see some of the folks here..lol. Compared to some of the rednecks here(in these parts)..I am almost liberal..God forbid ! lol

I live in Texas and BELIEVE me there are people much more conservative in their politics than Torog (I mean REALLY Right wing and/or backwards in their thinking (they just practically drape themselves in the confederate flag), not so much in Houston or Dallas or especially Austin, but many of those towns in between. If you happen to be black or hispanic or openly gay or not baptist and for whatever reason you visit one of those towns and stay for awhile, watch out.
