WOW. Massive diff.

I kinda wanna stay with Fluoros myself due to the energy usage of HIDs. What kinda heat do those T5's put out?

The 28w hydrofarm T5HO strip doesn't put out much heat. Probably comparable with my 50w LED panel due to the ends being hot electrodes and all.

You could always get a 250w hps with an air cooled hood. Make your own hole near the top of the cab to run the duct out. You would just need to purchase an inline fan to connect to it to cool the light/cab.


It is a very clean and nice growbox indeed.

Also if you went with the air cooled hood you would always be able to connect a carbon scrubber to it as well and control odor/cool the bulb/exhaust the cab on the same chain of duct.
