20/4 light autoflower?
high in a thread I saw some one say that a auto flower does great in 20 on 4 off light cycle. I was wondering if this is in flowering too. I know 3 people growing auto flower type strains now and they get about 1/2-3/4 of a oz from their harvest. they seed their herb sometimes so they have convinced them selves that this is the best method for their medication. but some one stated they usually get a oz from each plant these guys are losing out so if I can give them info to increase their yield I am sure they will be happy. I already relayed the info to my medical buddies but they don't want to try it on all their plants and since they only have one flower room, they don't want to try it and loose out.
So if you have experience with auto flowers does a 20 on 4 off light cycle during bloom give you better results? sounds crazy to me but i know ruderals will flower in 24 on lights cause thats the way my friends have been doing it for a while now, but when they show the bloom has started they switch to 12/12, mostly causes I told them too.MadSativa Reviewed by MadSativa on . 20/4 light autoflower? high in a thread I saw some one say that a auto flower does great in 20 on 4 off light cycle. 20/4 light autoflower?
When I first tried growing Ak 47 AF Lowriders I was told to do a 20/4 light schedule throughout the grow. My first grow was ok on the yeild, but on my second attempt I increased the lighting and kept the same lighting schedule(20/4) and got a good size oz on one plant and just a little less on the other plant I was growing.
I am now doing a third AF grow with even more lighting (same schedule) and I am hoping to get even better results.

Yeah, that's the whole point of an "auto", they are going to flower anyway. They don't need the long night to flower. The only thing that going 12/12 does for an autoflower, is kill the yield. Give them the 20/4 from cradle-to-grave. I am not a fan of running 24 hours, but that's just me, a lot of folks do with the autos.

cool thanks guys, I will tell them that yield can be increased using a 20/4 schedule. a long time ago I had told them to switch to 12/12 when they show signs of flower but I totally see how that would not be good. now that I hear people doing it. Just never had any experience with auto flowers, a 20/4 sounded too unnatural.
