Ye i think i chose sum pretty shitty strains to be honest. I get bowled over my the descriptions and the names which get me all excited and so i have to grow them and i never research the strains. Oh well, learnt my lesson now ! And yes high yielding is the idea for the next grow! sticking with barneys seeds, definately didnt fail me with the vanilla kush.

I don't think the strains you picked were bad, it just seems to me that the most potent strains tend to have much smaller yields. I personally don't think the extra strength justifies the weight loss. Especially on small personal grows like ours.

Mate that bonsai is nuts. I still dont get how you yield so much bud of your girls using cfls.. i got an oz of my vanilla kush which was an lst, vegged for 5 weeks or something and you can do that with a bonsai plant ! madness..what strain was it ? good smoke ? anything on the go at the moment ?

It was the same strain I used in my 1st 2 grows, I reckon I would have got over the ounce but the cuttings came with thrips, which probably reduced the crop. It is a good yielder and a really nice smoke, but it is very spindly and collapses under the weight of the buds.I decided to go with better genetics this time round cos I was having to use string to hold the branches/buds up. I have also moved up to 2x250w instead of the 125's.

I am growing 4 White Rhino from Greenhouse Seeds atm. The quality of the genetics is mind blowing, they look amazing. I also have another bonsai on the go, also WR but from a cutting (the genetics are nowhere near as good as the ones from GH).

Another thing phatjay, want to have a little comp ? who can get the most bud of a plant grown in a little white party cup ? Was going to do it anyway for my next grow for a laugh, would be great to see your results. Char

That sounds like fun :thumbsup: I'm up for that. If you are planning to grow bonsai, I think you need to grow from cuttings instead of seeds. The plants that grow from seeds take time to sexually mature and you have to wait until the nodes start alternating before you can consider going into flower. Cuttings are ready to go once they have a few leaves/nodes.
